Mimosa Mine has confirmed that 40 of its employees will participate in the 2024 Nedbank Tour de Great Dyke, showcasing the company’s strong commitment to wellness and teamwork. The cycling event, spanning over 350 kilometers, kicks off in Selous and runs through the Great Dyke region to Zvishavane.
Dr. Tonderai Kwari, who oversees the company’s wellness programs, expressed pride in the team’s enthusiasm. “Our employees are eager to take part. Some will begin the race in Selous, while others will join along the route. It’s a testament to their dedication to fitness,” he said.
Participation in the tour aligns with Mimosa’s focus on promoting wellness through physical activity.
“Cycling has become an integral part of our wellness program, with employees regularly training during their free time and every Wednesday afternoon,” Dr. Kwari noted.
The company encourages employees to pursue fitness activities beyond work, recognizing the long-term benefits of improved health, reduced sick days, and enhanced productivity.
“This tour requires intense preparation, and it’s great to see how committed our cyclists are. It’s not just about the race but also about personal wellness and team spirit,” Dr. Kwari added.
