In the small village of Siboza, a devoted community member left an indelible mark. Witness Msipa, born on September 3, 1963, lived a life of selflessness and dedication to others.
Msipa’s journey began in Siboza, where he spent his childhood and completed primary education. He later attended Eiffel Flats in Kadoma for his secondary school, shaping his future. After years of working in Harare and Kadoma, Msipa returned to his roots in Siboza in 2000.
In Mabwe Matema, Witty as Msipa was affectionately known became the unsung hero. He ensured the community’s irrigation system ran smoothly, supplying fuel to nourish the land and sustain livelihoods. His skilled hands also built roofs for the Church of Christ in both Mabwe Matema and Siboza, sheltering the faithful.
Beyond his formal contributions, Witness volunteered tirelessly. He lent a helping hand to neighbours, assisting with tasks both big and small. His kindness knew no bounds.
Witness Msipa’s legacy extends far beyond his accomplishments. It lies in the hearts he touched and the lives he transformed. His humility, compassion, and generosity inspired a community.
On Friday, November 15, 2024, Witness’s remarkable life came to a close after a brief illness. Two days later, on Sunday, November 17, the community gathered to bid farewell to their beloved Witness. As he was laid to rest at his rural home, tears and tributes flowed.
Witness Msipa’s story serves as a testament to the power of quiet dedication. His life may have ended, but his spirit lives on in Siboza, inspiring future generations to follow in his footsteps.
Zvishavane Ngezi Ward 4 Councillor Sheila Chabuda described the late as a selfless man who did his all to uplift the community around him.
Rest in peace, Witness Msipa. Your legacy will never fade.
