All is set for the Buy Local Summit and first-ever Made in Zimbabwe Expo to be held tomorrow at Andy Miller Hall, Harare Exhibition Park.
In an interview with Great Dyke News 24, Buy Zimbabwe General Manager, Alois Burutsa said all is now set for the two big year end events on the Buy Zimbabwe calendar.
“Everything is all set for the Buy Local Summit and the first-ever Made in Zimbabwe Expo that will be held tomorrow at Andy Miller Hall at Harare Exhibition Park. The Summit will run under the theme ‘Anchoring Economic Growth on local content,” he said.
Burutsa added that they will be various speakers from different sectors of the economy that will take the podium.
“Amongst our speakers we have the Vice President of Zimbabwe, Dr. Constantino Chiwenga who is the guest of honour, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Dr. Sekai Nzenza, the Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development Dr. Anxious Masuka, the Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development, Professor Amon Murwira, and the Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Hon. Felix Mhona, among others,” said Burutsa.
Buy Local Summit will have two sessions, the first one moderated under the theme ‘Driving economic growth through local content optimization while the second session will be on ‘Nurturing partnerships and enhancement of local production. The Buy Local Summit will also see the unveiling of the Buy Zimbabwe Youth and SME’s desk by Elevate Trust.
The Expo is dedicated to showcasing quality made Zimbabwean products.
Buy Local Summit follows the Buy Zimbabwe Week that ranfrom the 22 to the 26 of November 2021 with Buy Zimbabweamplifying the message of buying local products and services in retail and wholesale outlets nationwide.
