ASM Sector Urged To Practice Safe Mining

Small scale and Artisanal miners have been urged to take their operations as a business that will contribute to the achievement of the sector’s 12 billion target.
Speaking to Great Dyke news Mining Expert Engineer, Paul Matshona said the ASM sector’s production is significant but it should be done in a sustainable and safe manner.
He added that small scale and artisanal miners should always follow laid down laws and procedures when operating.

Recently an artisanal miner lost his life after drowning in a flooded mine in Shurugwi, with authorities still making efforts to recover his body.
