The Volta International Sports Academy “VISA Manager” Ishmael Amagatse Kwashi of Ghana thinks that it will be difficult for Ghana to beat Zimbabwe National team in the FIFA World Cup qualifier match that will be played at the weekend at the Cape Coast city. Ghana laboured to a 1-0 home victory to Ethiopia while they also lost away by an identical scoreline to the current table toppers South Africa.

Kwashi has a dim view of the new Black Stars coach Milovan Rajivac whom he believes has tinkered with the team by making a lot of changes. The friction between the Ghana Football Association “GFA” and the Sports Ministry of Ghana on the appointment of Milovan also exacerbated the fragile situation.

“It will be difficult for Ghana to beat the Warriors of Zimbabwe here, we have changed our coaches Charles. K Akonnor was sacked and Milovan has been brought in. He was appointed on the 24th of September and has already made a lot of changes to the team putting in a lot of new faces, he has brought in Jojo Wallocott of Swindon, Joseph Aidoo of Celta Vigo and Benjamin Tetteh of Yeni Malatyaspor to mention but a few, “Kwashi said.

“Let me also tell you that our first choice goalkeeper Richard Ofori who plays his trade in South Africa isn’t coming and our strike force is also our achilles heel. The Sports Ministry and GFA have on each other’s throat on a lot of issues and the contentious one is on the appointment of Milovan which has caused divisions among the officials. So with all this I think it will be difficult for the Black Stars to beat Zimbabwe and I can see the Warriors walking out of that match unscathed.”

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe have been technically thrown a lifeline as the country has been removed from the red list zone by the United Kingdom.

The UK Zim Brigade of Tendai Darikwa, Marvellous Nakamba, Brandon Galloway, and Jordan Zemura are allowed to come into the country and return to the UK without being subjected to a 10 day mandatory quarantine. If the UK-ZIM brigade impress then the technical team will call on them for the return leg.
