Buy Zimbabwe has emphasized the critical role of supporting locally made products in strengthening Zimbabwe’s economy.
Speaking at Errymaple International School’s 2024 Speech and Prize-Giving Ceremony, Mr. Alois Burutsa, the General Manager of Buy Zimbabwe, highlighted the impact of purchasing Zimbabwean-made goods on job creation, community empowerment, and national economic growth.
The ceremony, held at the school’s campus, celebrated the academic accomplishments of students and their preparation for leadership in an increasingly interconnected world. In his address, Burutsa underlined Buy Zimbabwe’s mission to promote a culture of supporting home-grown products to foster sustainable development.
“We are here today to celebrate the achievements of these bright young minds, but we must also think about how we can help create a sustainable future for them,” said Burutsa. “When you buy Zimbabwean-made products, you’re not only investing in quality, but you’re also creating job opportunities for the next generation.”
Burutsa encouraged the school community to consider the origins of the products they purchase, asking a simple but powerful question: “Is this product made in Zimbabwe?”
