The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of 32-year-old Michael Mandigo in connection with the murder of his mother, Jenia Mandigo, aged 53. The tragic incident occurred on February 8, 2025, at a residence in Sandton Park, Westgate, Harare.
According to police reports, Mandigo allegedly attacked his mother with a slasher, striking her in the head for reasons yet to be determined. The victim was discovered lifeless with multiple head wounds. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
