Filabusi Trio Arrested For Robbery

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has apprehended a trio in connection with a robbery where 2000 rand and a cellphone were stolen.

In a statement, the ZRP said in Filabusi police arrested Sihle Sakhile Matshatsha (37), Brandon Dube (28) and Mandlenkosi Ncube at a roadblock along Avoca–Filabusi Road.

It indicated that the trio is suspected to have been involved in a robbery incident in which cash and a cellphone were stolen from the complainant (20) at Ukuthula Village.

The police highlighted that the suspects who were travelling in a Granvia Vehicle, ADP 1228 were intercepted and a machete, hammer, knife, and an Itel cellphone were recovered.

MEANWHILE – The ZRP also confirmed the arrest of Robert Chikwamba (32), Boniface Marufu (46), Lickson Zimuto (54), Tichaona Machacha (52), Renius Murombo (45) and Farisi Chimuka (46) for stock theft cases which occurred at Ruputsa and Mundanga villages in Gutu.

The suspects allegedly stole two oxen together with two cows from three complainants’ kraal, before slaughtering and deboning the beasts.
