Former Shabani Mine And Caps United Player In Court For Unlawful Possession Of Ammunition

 A Former Shabani mine and CAPS United F.C player has appeared in court facing charges of unlawful possession of ammunition.

Pavington Zimunya (34) appeared before Masvingo Magistrate Grace Tupiri facing unlawful possession of ammunition as defined in section 4(1) chapter 10:09 of the firearms act.

It is the State’s case that on 6 July 2022 around 1100hours, a report of theft was received at ZRP Chikato where the accused person was a suspect.

The court heard that police officers on duty went to the accused’s place of residence.

Upon arrival police officers searched his pockets and found 02 AK42 rounds of ammunition to which the accused failed to produce a firearms certificate.

Magistrate Grace Tupiri ordered him to do 140 hours community service at Masvingo Magistrate court.
