Gold Buyers Association Chairman Wins Council Seat In By-Election

National Gold Buyers Association of Zimbabwe (NGBAZ) Chairman Scott Sakupwanya has been duly elected Councilor for Ward 21, Chizhanje, Mabvuku, Harare.

Sakupwanya’s company Better Brands Jewellery (BBJ), reached a new milestone after delivering more than seven tonnes of gold to the Fidelity Printers and Refineries last year, in a haul worth nearly US$ 460 million.

Elsewhere, Mberengwa Ward 25 elected ZANU-PF Pedzisai Zhou as the next councilor with 735 votes.
In Kwekwe’s Mbizo Constituency the Citizens’ Coalition for Change’s Settlement Chikwinya garnered 6 780 to beat ZANU PF’s Vongai Mupereri 3 008 and become the duly elected Member of Parliament for Mbizo Constituency.

In Matabeleland South, Citizens’ Coalition for Change’s Justone Mazhale was elected to the Gwanda Council beating Zanu PF’s Thembani Mathuthu and Vusani Mhlanga of the MDC Alliance.
In Masvingo Province, Citizens’ Coalition for Change’s Alec Tabe garnered 660 votes to beat ZANU PF Richard Mudyavanhu who had 464 votes and MDC A’s Charles Ziki who had 44 votes.
