Forest Rangers and Zimbabwe international striker Thomas Chideu is confident he will finish the season with double digit goals provided he gets more game time.
Chideu has set himself a target of ten goals or more and he believes with hard work this is achievable.
The former Bosso, Golden Arrows, Fc Platinum, and Harare City striker has so far banged three goals in the four games he has featured. Forest Rangers have been blowing hot and cold in the thirteen matches played so far and with Chideu’s goal return the club can do better.
Aaliyah as Chideu is affectionately known joined Rangers Forest Rangers in March 2021 and managed to score 3 goals in the 6 games he played. His goals helped Forest Rangers finish in a respectable position.
In total Chideu has scored 7 goals in the 10 games he has played in the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 a scoring ratio of a goal in every two matches.
“I want to do better than last season, with more game time and hard work it’s possible for me to hit double figures. Yes, it has been a tough season for me but with God everything is possible”, Chideu said.
“I want to do better, so I am pushing myself hard and I am doing extra training to improve myself. I want to be more clinical inside the box and improve on my speed too. Everything seems to be coming together. I am happy that I have already scored three goals and I don’t wanna lie it feels like a dream. It is amazing and I hope this form will not desert me, however, everything revolves around game time. If I get game time I will continue scoring and that is what I want.”
Chideu is the current joint top goal scorer for Rangers with Clifford Mulenga and Quadri Kola.
