Thandolenkosi Ngwenya scored his farewell goal for FC Platinum in a 1-1 draw against Simba Bhora, ahead of his move to South Africa’s Amazulu FC on a two-year contract.

FC Platinum forward Ngwenya capped off his journey with the club in style, scoring in the 70th minute during his final match on Saturday.

Ngwenya leaves for South Africa this week to join Amazulu FC. He said,

“I’m very happy I scored in my last game,”. “That goal was for my family, my coach, and all the fans. ”

Originally from Mberengwa, Ngwenya said the move is exciting but emotional.

“When Amazulu approached me, I was grateful. But now that it’s time to leave my family, and team it’s painful and difficult,”

With dreams of going even further, Ngwenya hopes to reach European leagues one day.

“My journey from Mberengwa to South Africa already shows God’s hand,” he added. “I believe in His timing.”

Ngwenya thanked FC Platinum fans and vowed to represent Zimbabwe well: “Keep supporting the team. I’ll do my best to make the country proud. ”In God We Trust -Thando
