Farmer representative Unions say there is a need for farmers to be educated on the importance of insurance so that they can adequately insure their livestock and crops.
Speaking to Great Dyke news, Zimbabwe Farmers Union Executive Director Paul Zachariah said most farmers lack information and knowledge on the importance of insurance.
Farmers have always been encouraged to ensure their livestock to guard against potential losses resulting from the effects of climate change and other natural causes.
