Irrigation Plans To Boost Midlands Agriculture

The government has set plans to ensure water in all constructed dams around the country benefits the activities of the surrounding communities.

Speaking to Great Dyke News, Provincial Irrigation Engineer, Shingirirai Zano said the government is already conducting feasibility studies for the Mabwematema Irrigation Scheme.

He added that there will be development of 500 hectares of land.

He also indicated that there are other irrigation schemes that are set to be developed in the Midlands by next year.
