YA FM presenter Mambokadzi weSungura Portia Muzorava was presented with a certificate of appreciation after she competed in a 5km walk race.
The five-kilometre walk race was part of the wellness competition organised by the Great Dyke Athletics Club in collaboration with Agric 24.
The purpose of the event was to raise awareness of wellness issues. There was a 30km cycling race, a 10km run and a 5km walk race.
Mambokadzi weSungura said she would like to thank the organisers of the event and also acknowledge the huge benefits she got from participating.
“I would like to thank the Great Dyke Athletics Club and Agric 24 for organising the event. There was a 30km cycling competition, a 10km run and a 5km walk race,” Muzorava said.
“I would like to also thank them for handing me a certificate in recognition of my participation. I feel honoured and would like to encourage people to take such events seriously as they are beneficial to one’s well-being.
It does not matter your status in life, I implore you to partake in such wellness programs.
As for me, I am feeling much fitter and more relaxed. I will continue to enter such events for the benefit of my well-being.”
