The accused person refused to pay rent arguing that the complainant was no longer entitled to collect rent since the compound now belonged to Great Zimbabwe University. An altercation arose and the accused person tore the complainant’s T-shirt before biting him 3 times on the left hand before fleeing the scene. The complainant sustained bruises and a swollen left hand.

The Masvingo magistrate found the accused guilty as charged and sentenced her 5 months imprisonment wholly suspended for 5 years on condition the accused do not commit similar offence within the next five years.
