Mining authorities and Mining Experts say a lot still needs to be done in terms of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) awareness and assistance in the mining sector.
Speaking to Great Dyke news, Mining Expert, Chiedza Chipangura said there are no SRH awareness campaigns and messages specifically for miners.
She added that miners are at higher risk of contracting STIs and STDs due to a lack of knowledge.
Mberengwa Miners Association Chairman, Anderson Tsikira, said the media has done a lot to try and bridge the knowledge gap to conscientise miners with regard to SRH.
