Mining Sector Speak On Oil Discovery And The Need To Boost Security

Mining experts say the discovery of oil in the country will go a long way in boosting the country’s economy since there will be no need for the country to import the major resource, they have called on government to boost security in advance.

Speaking to Great Dyke news, Mining expert Chiedza Chipangura said if all goes well the country will have adequate fuel including bi-products.

She however appealed to the government and relevant authorities to boost the country’s security forces to avoid unnecessary insurgences often witnessed in oil producing nations.

INVICTUS Energy, the Australian firm prospecting for oil and gas in Muzarabani, recently said it may start drilling exploration wells early next year after taking delivery of state-of-the-art equipment to be used in identifying well sites.
