Sirens blared across Tel Aviv and central Israel on Wednesday as Hezbollah launched a missile targeting the city, marking the first such attack by the Lebanese group. Hezbollah claimed the strike was aimed at Mossad’s headquarters, though Israel reported intercepting the missile with no casualties.
Earlier, Israel confirmed the killing of a Hezbollah commander in Beirut, a strike that Lebanese authorities say left six dead and 15 injured. Over 560 people, including 50 children, have been killed in Israeli airstrikes, according to Lebanon’s health ministry.
Israel states its offensive aims to neutralize Hezbollah and secure northern Israel, while Hezbollah says its actions are in response to Israeli “aggression” and in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.
