Zimbabwe striker Leeroy Munyorovi says his move to German side 1.FC Merseburg e.V from Slovakian side MŠK Púchov is a dream come true.
Munyorovi is son to former Dynamos left winger Mugove Munyorovi. He has signed a two year contract with the German side.
” Its a dream come true for me and a huge step forward in my footballing career. I think I have made the right move as you know that German has one of the best football leagues and I am proud of this achievement,” Munyorovi said.
“The level of competition is high here and they are a lot of scouts too. I hope I will be able to score goals for my new club and manage to get attention of big clubs.”
Munyorovi also had playing stints in Namibia and Slovakia and is hopeful of playing for the Warriors.
“Yes, every player’s wish is to play for the national team. Zimbabwe has a number of great strikers like Tino Kadewere and Scotland based David Moyo just to mention a few. However I will work hard to earn a call up for the National team.”
In 2017 Munyorovi had a call up to the Warriors squad but failed to honour the call up because of adminstrative challenges at his club then.
