Nedbank Tour De Great a Form of Empowerment for the Youth’ Participants Say


Youths in the Great Dyke have been urged to turn to sports activities and shun drug abuse and violence.

Speaking to Great Dyke news, Forward Chikozho, a cyclist from Nhema, Shurugwi said sporting activities should be done regularly.

He also appealed to the corporate world to assist those with a passion for sports with relevant kits indicating that the Nedbank Tour De Great is a form of empowerment for the youth.

The Nedbank Tour De Great Dyke, a three-day cycling event, started last Thursday in Selous and concluded in Zvishavane on Saturday where the more than 100 participating cyclists were welcomed with pomp and fanfare by the mining town’s residents who came out in their numbers.

Part of the event’s proceeds will go to the Gifted Children Foundation.
