Political parties have congratulated the people of Zimbabwe for voting peacefully calling the act a demonstration that democracy in the southern African nation has come of age.
Speaking to Great Dyke News, ZANU PF Director of Information and Publicity Mr Tafadzwa Mugwadi said the ruling party is satisfied by the vote of confidence from the Zimbabwean people as the party has managed to snatch two constituencies from the opposition.
He also added that the results from the by elections show that the ruling party will ensure the realization of the middle income economy.
Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) Vice-President Professor Welshman Ncube said the results show that people are not happy with how some members of parliament were recalled.
