The Residents and Ratepayers in the Midlands and Masvingo provinces have raised concern over the repair and maintenance work that council workers are doing, they say some of the work is half-hearted and sub-standard.
Speaking to Great Dyke News, Residents and Ratepayers in Gweru, Zvishavane and Masvingo said the work they see is lackadaisical and takes ages to be completed thus inconveniencing the public.
Residents said after road repairs, for instance, the roads are still bad and when resurfaced they continue to give motorists problems.
Some also highlighted that water supply remains a problem and for years council with all its engineers has not found any innovative way to resolve the problems.
Other residents also questioned why councils have not come up with a proper refuse collection plan to keep the cities and towns clean.
