Retailers have called on the authorities to ensure the availability of fuel saying the situation has continued to impact negatively in terms of the retail sector performance.
Speaking to Great Dyke TV during the weekly series of State of the Industry, the Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers President Denford Mutashu said as retailers, they would appreciate a situation where the price may go up to a certain level so that those in the fuel industry will be able to run their businesses smoothly and break even.
He also called on the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development to look very closely at the plight of commuters to ensure that the public do not spend hours in queues to catch buses to and from work.
