TelOne FC Upgrades Ascot Stadium in Anticipation of FIB Approval.

TelOne FC President Oscar Nduwure says there has been significant progress in the renovation of Ascot Stadium, the Wifi Boys` traditional home ground. 

Speaking to Great Dyke News Nduwure said following a 2023 ZIFA First Instance Board report, which highlighted urgent upgrades needed since the club’s previous stint in the Premier League, TelOne FC has made substantial improvements.

He indicated that key upgrades include the completion of sanitary facilities for public areas, modernized VIP and VVIP toilets, and refurbished spectator seating areas. The environment surrounding the stadium has been cleared, and a new fish perimeter fence, 500 millimeters higher than the previous one, has been installed. The stadium also saw the installation of new media booths and flag poles for Zimbabwe’s national flag, TelOne FC, and the Premier Soccer League.

Nduwure expressed satisfaction with the completed renovations, emphasizing that the stadium now meets the required standards. The club eagerly awaits the FIB’s final inspection and approval to transition from Bata Stadium to their newly upgraded home ground for future matches.

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) First Instance Board (FIB), is responsible for examining stadiums to ensure they meet minimum standards for Homologation which is the process of officially approving a sports venue, ensuring it meets specific standards set by governing bodies.
