The Minister of Finance and Economic Development Hon. Prof. Mthuli Ncube says the tourism industry is expected to continue to grow in outlook.
Speaking during his 2023 National Budget presentation recently, Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube said tourist arrivals are expected to increase to 1.4 million in 2023, whilst tourism receipts are projected at US$623 million.
He added that the sector will be benefiting from a recovery of international tourism, the coming in of new players in the aviation sector, meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions.
Tourism is Zimbabwe’s third largest sector after mining and agriculture and has the potential to play a significant role in Zimbabwe’s economic recovery.
