A traditional leader in Zhombe, Kwekwe District in the Midlands Province has called on the home affairs ministry to come to his area’s rescue as illegal miners continue to wreak havoc, plundering livestock and murdering villagers.
Speaking to the Great Dyke News Chief Gwesela said police officers in the area appear ill-equipped to deal with the situation at hand and massive assistance is needed.
He indicated that just last a man was killed by the violent illegal miners at Bhobhi Shopping Centre.
