ZESA Holdings (Private) Limited has officially announced the appointment of a new Board of Directors, according to a notice issued by the Group’s Legal Advisor and Corporate Secretary, T. Chinhego. The newly appointed board, chaired by Dr. Sydney Zikuzo Gata, was confirmed in line with the Public Entities Corporate Governance Act [Chapter 10:33] and gazetted through General Notice 1389 of 2024, published on September 6, 2024.
The board consists of the following members:

• Ms. Miriam Chahuruva
• Ms. Ntokozo Mkandla
• Mr. Eliab Tafireyi Chikwenhere

• Mr. Cassius Gambinga
• Dr. Liston Matindife
The new board has been appointed by the shareholder, Mutapa Investment Fund, and has been entrusted with overseeing the operations and strategic direction of the state-owned enterprise.
In welcoming the new board, ZESA Holdings expressed confidence in their ability to deliver on their critical mandate, which includes achieving Total Electrification, Datafication, and Universal Access to Electricity for all citizens by 2030.
