ZIDAMWU Calls On Mines To Step Up COVID-19 Prevention Measures

The Zimbabwe Diamond Allied and Allied Mineral Workers Union has called on mining companies to provide better covid-19 protection for workers and their families. 

ZIDAMWU Secretary-General Justice Chinhema told Great Dyke News 24 that most mining companies only gave their workers Personal Protective Equipment but they did not educate and provide PPE to the families of their workers.

He also touched on the issue of Covid-19 allowances.

The Health and Child Care Ministry on Saturday announced that 25 employees tested positive at a mining firm based in Hwange.
