Zimbabwean sprinters Makanakaishe Charamba and Tapiwa Makarawu have advanced to the semi-finals of the men’s 200m event at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Both athletes secured their spots by finishing second in their respective heats on Monday night.
Charamba clocked an impressive 20.27 seconds, earning him a place in the highly anticipated semi-finals. Meanwhile, Makarawu delivered a stellar performance with a blistering time of 20.07 seconds, also securing his advancement.
The semi-finals are scheduled to take place on August 7th, where Charamba and Makarawu will compete for a place in the finals, aiming to bring glory to Zimbabwe on the Olympic stage.
