The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (Zimparks) is set to cull around 200 elephants in response to increasing human-wildlife conflicts.

Zimparks spokesperson Tinashe Farawo confirmed the decision, citing the need to manage the growing elephant population, which has led to frequent and dangerous encounters with local communities.

Human-wildlife conflict remains a critical issue in Zimbabwe, with elephants, in particular, posing a threat to rural populations near conservation areas.
