ZPC Kariba coach Godfrey Tamirepi is confident his side has a good chance of progressing to the next stage of the Chibuku Super Cup.

“We need to take each game as it comes and we have set targets for the team. If we attain a minimum of 9 points against all odds ZPC Kariba will progress to the quarterfinals,” Tamirepi said.

The Kariba based side has endured long travels after every match. However, Tamirepi is offering no excuses and instead is focusing on factors he has control over.

“My job as a coach is to prepare the players physically, psychologically, and mentally. Have been telling my guys excuses breed failures we have to focus, train harder and work for the results barring the challenges,” said Tamirepi.

ZPC Kariba have opted for continuity and did not raid the market in search of new players.

“I hope the guys will rise up and be counted. We did not bring new players and did not play many games hence the decision to retain
the squad from May,” said Tamirepi.
