Two people lost their lives, and two others were injured in a tragic road traffic accident that occurred on August 26, 2024, at approximately 5:10 PM. The incident took place at the 38-kilometer mark along the Masvingo-Mbalabala Road.
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the accident involved a Toyota Belta, which collided head-on with an Inter Africa bus carrying 43 passengers. The two occupants of the Toyota Belta were the fatalities, while two others sustained injuries.
The bodies of the deceased were transported to Masvingo General Hospital for post-mortem examinations. The injured individuals received treatment at Mashava Clinic and have since been discharged.
