Zambia’s power utility has issued a stark warning that it may be forced to shut down the Kariba Dam power plant by September 14 due to critically low water levels.
The drastic drop in water reserves has already significantly reduced power output at the dam, leading to severe electricity shortages in both Zambia and Zimbabwe.
