The Ministry of Information has confirmed that a helicopter crash-landed in Masvingo on Sunday after the Munhumutapa Day celebrations.
Addressing the media this week, Information minister Jenfan Muswere said President Emmerson Mnangagwa was not aboard the helicopter, which was intended to transport him.
He indicated that the aircraft, carrying only crew members, experienced a technical malfunction but no fatalities occurred.
The Civil Aviation Authority is currently investigating the incident. An official statement will be issued once the investigation is complete.
