The government has postponed the independence day celebrations and the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) to prevent the coronavirus pandemic from spreading in Zimbabwe.
Speaking during the ongoing press conference in the capital, President Emmerson Mnangagwa declared the Coronavirus a National Disaster to allow the government to mobilise resources and take measures.
He also urged travellers coming from the affected countries to postpone their travels to Zimbabwe for the next thirty days.
