Police in Chegutu are investigating the deaths of Sekai Antonio (59) and Alice Zhuwao (54), whose bodies were discovered on Stockdale Farm on September 8, 2024. The two women, who had been reported missing on September 6 from Pfupajena, Chegutu, were found lifeless in the bushes of the farm under grim circumstances.
Authorities reported that Sekai Antonio’s body bore a deep cut on the head and multiple bruises, suggesting a violent encounter. Her body was located approximately 100 meters from that of Alice Zhuwao, who also suffered a deep cut on the head. Both bodies were transported to Chegutu Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations to determine the precise causes of death.
In a separate incident, police in Hwange are on the hunt for a suspect known only as Usher, who is wanted in connection with the murder of Mqondisi Sibanda (41). The incident occurred near Chipale River, Lusulu, on September 6, 2024. According to the police, Sibanda and the suspect were involved in a physical altercation over an unspecified issue before Sibanda’s body was discovered with a cut on the forehead.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding either case to come forward and report to their nearest police station. Investigations are ongoing as police work to uncover the full circumstances surrounding these tragic deaths.
