Zimbabwe Miners Federation says the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has affected the Chrome market which has led to low exports of metal with buyers offering low prices.
In an interview with Great Dyke News 24’s Nomthandazo Ndlovu, ZMF Chairperson Makumba Nyenje said at the moment Chrome miners are complaining of low prices and they are expecting buyers to offer good prices once things normalise after the Covid-19 pandemic.
Zimbabwe has the second largest high-grade chromium deposits in the world, behind South Africa, with reserves of around 10 billion tonnes.
