Organizers of the 2025 Nedbank Tour de Great Dyke have commended the corporate community for their continued support towards the 8th edition of the annual cycling event, which kicked off today in Selous. Cyclists are expected to rest overnight in Kwekwe before proceeding with the next leg of the journey tomorrow.

Speaking to Great Dyke News, the event’s coordinator, Moses Charedza, expressed gratitude to the title sponsor Nedbank Zimbabwe, as well as various mining companies and corporates that have partnered with the event.

“We are truly grateful to our sponsors and partners who have made this year’s tour possible. Their support continues to strengthen the link between business, sport, and community development,” said Charedza.

The Nedbank Tour de Great Dyke, running from November 6 to 8, 2025, is a three-day cycling event that traverses the Great Dyke corridor under the theme “Riding for Opportunity, Wellness and Charity.”
The tour promotes healthy living, community engagement, and investment along the Great Dyke, while raising funds for the Gifted Children Foundation, which supports vulnerable and talented learners.

Cyclists will journey from Selous to Zvishavane, passing through Chegutu, Kadoma, Kwekwe, Gweru, and Shurugwi, showcasing the scenic beauty and economic potential of one of Zimbabwe’s key mineral belts.
Organizers say this year’s edition aims to further strengthen partnerships between corporates and communities in driving social impact, wellness, and sustainable development.
