Coventry Eyes IOC Presidency, Pledges Change

Zimbabwe’s Sports Minister Kirsty Coventry is bidding to become the first female and youngest-ever president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

If elected, she aims to challenge the status quo, enhance athlete safeguarding, support female athletes, and embrace technology to keep the Olympics relevant.

Coventry, Africa’s most decorated Olympian, also seeks to expand streaming access and use AI to benefit athletes, particularly in Africa.
