Preparations are underway for the 8th Nedbank Tour de Great Dyke, scheduled for 6–8 November 2025, as veteran riders Tapson Gore and Roderick Shumba call on cyclists from Zimbabwe and beyond to participate.

The three-day event will traverse the scenic Great Dyke corridor, covering Selous to Zvishavane and passing through Chegutu, Kadoma, Kwekwe, Gweru, and Shurugwi. This year’s theme, “Riding for Opportunity, Wellness and Charity,” is expected to draw around 300 cyclists, including entrants from Mozambique.

Experienced rider Roderick Shumba highlighted the health benefits of cycling, saying it boosts fitness, sharpens the mind, and relieves stress, while promoting camaraderie and charitable causes. Fellow cyclist Tapson Gore added that the event will be personal for him this year, as he joins the ride alongside his son for the first time.

The Tour continues to position cycling as a platform for wellness, community, and opportunity along Zimbabwe’s mineral-rich heartland.
