Veterinary authorities have called on farmers to deworm their livestock to reduce the build-up of internal parasites and improve disease resistance.

Midlands Provincial Veterinary Officer, Dr. Martin Sibanda, told farmers that many animals were already in poor condition before the rainy season, making them more vulnerable to infections.
