In front of a packed Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane, FC Platinum secured a vital home victory against Harare giants Dynamos, courtesy of a second-half volley from Muvirimi. The win was crucial for the Platinum Miners, who managed to clinch maximum points.

FC Platinum head coach Norman Mapeza praised his team’s discipline and patience, highlighting their solid defensive performance which limited Dynamos to only a few chances despite their dominant first-half possession.

This defeat drops Dynamos to seventh place on the log, intensifying the pressure on head coach Genesis Mangombe. Despite securing just four wins this season, Mangombe’s tenure has been under scrutiny, with fans voicing their displeasure even after victories, such as the one against Arenel last Thursday. The latest setback at Mandava raises significant questions about his future at the club.

In his post-match comments, Mangombe expressed satisfaction with his team’s overall performance but lamented their inability to convert opportunities into goals.
