The Department of Civil Protection has reassured the public that it is well-prepared for potential flooding in northern Zimbabwe, as forecasted by the Meteorological Services Department.
Farai Hokonya, Acting Director of Disaster Response and Coordination, emphasized the government’s readiness in a recent interview with AB Communications News Network.
In a related development, the Zimbabwe National Traditional Healers Association (ZINATHA) has issued a stern warning to faith healers and traditional practitioners, advising against performing rituals or ceremonies near water bodies such as rivers and dams.
ZINATHA President George Kandiero cautioned that such activities pose serious drowning risks to both practitioners and their clients.
