The ministry of Health and Child Care says Zimbabwe’s vision is to have a health care system that meets international standards, ensuring all citizens have equitable access to health care services of sufficient quality.
Addressing the media for the first time since his appointment as Health Minister, Vice President Constantino Chiwenga said the government wants to do away with seeking medical attention outside the country.
Vice President Chiwenga also outlined that the Health and Child Care ministry is being restructured with a new sustainable funding model, enhanced effectiveness, and a new work ethic for staff. He added that the remuneration of health workers has been put at the core of this new focus..
