Insiza Farmers Urged to Attend Pre-Planting Workshop.

Agriculture authorities in Matebeland South are inviting all local farmers to attend the upcoming Pre-Planting Workshop scheduled for tomorrow. This annual event marks the launch of the 2024-2025 agriculture season and is designed to equip farmers with essential knowledge and resources for a successful planting year.

The workshop will feature a variety of seed companies, including SeedCo, K2, Valley Seeds, and Zadza Mutara, who will be present to showcase and sell their seeds.

Speaking to Great Dyke News, Augustin Wuranda, the Agricultural Extension Supervisor for Insiza Ward 21 said farmers will have the opportunity to explore different seed varieties and make informed purchasing decisions.

In addition to seed offerings, experts from the Meteorological Department will be on hand to provide critical insights into the upcoming rainy season. “We encourage all farmers to attend this program,” Wuranda said. “It will be a valuable opportunity to learn about the coming farming season and to understand how it will affect their agricultural practices.”
