The Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services say they have extended visiting hours which had been adjusted and, in some instances, suspended as a measure to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
In an interview with Great Dyke News 24 reporter Beautrice Hlilokela ZPCS Rehabilitation Officer for Zvishavane  gave details on the new schedule for convicted inmates and those that are on remand awaiting trial.
Meanwhile some residents are hoping the same will take place in public health institutions where they say the government should relax the visiting schedules for patients admitted in public health facilities, as the current schedule is limiting them from tending to the needs of admitted relatives.
