The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of Daniel Chifamba (32) in connection with a murder case at Level Cross Business Centre, Chikombedzi, on December 1, 2024.
Chifamba is accused of fatally assaulting Meke Kuza (66) with a knobkerrie after Kuza intervened to stop him from attacking another individual, identified as Chris Tada. According to police, Chifamba allegedly struck Kuza multiple times on the head, resulting in his death.
In a separate incident, police in Kadoma are investigating the murder of Methembe Bongisani Khumalo (22), whose body was discovered at Mutegude Compound, Battlefields, on December 2, 2024.
Khumalo’s body was found near a footpath with stab wounds on the ankle and thighs. Police report that he was last seen on the evening of December 1, being chased by unidentified men following an altercation during a beer-drinking binge.
Authorities have appealed to the public for information to assist in both cases.
