Buy Zimbabwe Chairman Munyaradzi Hwengwere says the promotion and support of local products is essential for improving Zimbabwe’s economic stability.
In a recent interview with Great Dyke News, Hwengwere emphasized the need for Zimbabwe to focus on producing and selling its own goods domestically, across Africa, and globally.
Hwengwere stressed the importance of showcasing Zimbabwean products at expos to demonstrate their quality and potential.
“Zimbabweans should have the opportunity to display their products at expos, enabling citizens and the international community to recognize the high-quality goods we can produce locally,” he said.
To this end, Hwengwere indicated the upcoming “Made in Zimbabwe” Expo in November. This event will allow citizens to exhibit their products, aiming to prove to foreign markets that Zimbabwe is capable of producing top-tier goods.
Hwengwere also highlighted the critical role of Zimbabweans, both at home and abroad, in valuing and supporting local products. “For the economy to grow, it’s imperative that Zimbabweans, including those in the diaspora, prioritize and support locally made products,” he added.
This collective effort, he believes, will significantly contribute to the nation’s economic development.
