In a shocking turn of events, the High Court sitting at Gweru has convicted Stacy Mkandhla (27) of murder, following a tragic incident that unfolded earlier this year.
The case, which has gripped the Midlands region, highlights the devastating consequences of extramarital affairs and domestic violence.
The court heard that on the night of February 10, 2024, Stacy Mkandhla returned home from an all-night prayer session to find her husband in their matrimonial bed with another woman. Overcome with rage, Mkandhla attacked the woman using her fists before arming herself with a kitchen knife. Although her husband managed to disarm her initially, Mkandhla retrieved another knife and fatally stabbed the woman multiple times. The victim fled but collapsed and died on the street.
Following the incident, Mkandhla was promptly arrested and charged with murder. The High Court found her guilty, and she has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
